Having previously owned the Nespresso Citiz & Milk, I decided it was time for an upgrade & what an excellent decision it has proven to be. The ease of making a milk drink at a tap of a button is an instant sell for me. Every drink comes out hot & so creamy. The machine itself is compact & fits well in the kitchen. Cleaning the milk component is very easy. The overall performance of the machine is 10/10.

I’ve had several Nespresso machines, over the course of a decade at least. I had the Creatista that is still going strong after 7 years but gave it to my mum and opted for a bean to cup machine at home. I wanted a machine for work and didn’t want the mess of grinding beans so “had” to opt for pods. Nespresso (classic pods) is the best pod machine option, I’ve tried them all. This has all the capabilities I need for making myself a morning espresso but also the added benefit of being able to make a milky coffee for patients. It’s not as good as my home machine but makes a perfectly drinkable coffee for me, a fussy coffee drinker, and all of my patients. Either I’m not seeing an obvious option or it just uses all the milk that you put in the milk reservoir. At first this seemed silly but I quickly realised it meant I could make whatever size coffee I want, without having to worry about pressing more than one button, or pressing one twice for this, three times for that etc. It’s a very nice looking machine so can be on show as well, not essential but definitely a bonus. Time will tell if it lasts as long as my last machine.

I’ve been a Nespresso customer for many years and when my original machine eventually gave up the ghost after many years service, the only replacement I could find with an integral milk frother for the original capsules was the Latissima One. The first machine I ordered, I sent back after 2 days as I couldn’t get the milk frother to work. I later realised that it may have been because there was a fingerprint or something equally innocuous on the frother and/or the ‘magic eye’ that reads the level of milk. Is this issue mentioned in the instructions - no. In the trouble shooting pages - no. Lesson learnt however. Next, the frother itself hangs in mid air by the temperamental attachment (which if you don’t insert precisely, refuses to acknowledge the presence of the frother at all and not forgetting to make sure the frother and magic eye are spotless). Sometimes after dispensing just one cappuccino the machine then determinedly refuses to do any more coffees until you have cleaned the frother again. The front of the machine is so narrow, you need to delicately balance any cup or mug under the coffee spout. Putting a normal sized cup on the machine is precarious. You will be fine with an espresso cup. Having been used to regularly descaling my previous machine (regardless of whether it told me to or not), I thought that after 6 months of use, I would descale my new machine even though the descaling light had not flashed. Unfortunately, having prepared the machine for descaling, it did not enter descaling mode when inserting the descaling spout as my previous machine gratefully did. Come on Nespresso and DeLonghi - surely you can do better than this piece of very expensive cr*p.

I have had our Nespresso machine for over 5 years... still working, my husband thought time for another ..he could use the old one in his workshop... lol! Bought this just over a month ago as a replacement to our old Nespresso machine that packed up after many years of use. It was ideal nice and compact a bit fiddly to set up but once it was made a nice frothy coffee. But after 3 weeks of light use the milk frother would not work unless you pushed and held it in place and then the coffee would then become intermittent sometimes working sometimes not so have sent it back and gone for a different machine. It seems a very fragile and temperamental machine and as a gimmick it’s good but as an everyday use machine it’s not man enough for the job

Lite sämre än min förra delonggi Nespresso då den ger sämre mjölkskum och så måste man anpassa mjölkmängden varje gång genom att hälla rätt mängd i stället för att programmera rätt mängd från början och därmed fylla mjölkbehållaren full för flera tillagningar. I övrigt enkel och bra maskin.

This unit was never able to make drinks correctly because the steamed milk requires the user to push on the plastic container in order to work properly. Additionally, the nespresso cartridges occasioanlly get crushed the wrong way . I think I may have received a poorly manufactured machine, and I would like to try this same model again. But I was not able to get anyone from Amazon or from DeLonghi to respond, so that I can exchange this unit :(
